  • How the Process Works

    Step 1: Application Submission – Complete our online application to share your story, needs, and goals.

    Step 2: Review & Interview – Our team carefully reviews your application and schedules an interview to better understand your daily challenges.

    Step 3: Assessment – We evaluate your lifestyle and environment to ensure the best possible match.

    Step 4: Matching & Training – We pair you with a specially trained dog and begin personalized training for both handler and dog.

    Step 5: Graduation & Ongoing Support – Once training is complete, you’ll graduate as a team and continue receiving lifetime support from our program.

  • Timeframe

    Application review: Typically 2–4 weeks after submission.

    Matching & training: Depending on availability and individual needs, the process may take 6–12 months.

    Total timeline: Most veterans are partnered with their dog within 9–18 months, ensuring each match is thoughtfully made.
